How can I find stronger arms short going to a gym?

I'm a 24 year old woman who is roughly to go hindmost to TaeKwonDo and would like to toughen up a short time before going stern.

If you don't have any lighting free weights you could use soup cans that you own around the house and curl those and do a whole bunch of everyday free weight exercises except you'd be using soup can. :)
do simple exercises like pushups and strech your arms out
Do push-ups.
Start beside 3# weights and do curls
Also hold arms out straight to your sides and bring them to your sides and back up again..
These are simply a couple for starters.
Depending on your strength you can increase the weights.
